We had so much fun collaborating with Ian and Laura from The Photo Booth. Our paper flower were perfect for the backgrounds
and the two looks were a huge hit all night.
Salmon, soft yellow and blush pink peonies and vintage lemons made a pretty pastel garland
Hot pink poppies spilled down like raindrops on Livia, Naomi and Erin ( this one was my favorite set)
See you next year Martha…..
One of a few new items coming soon to our paper flower collection. This juicy citrus orange branch truly speaks for itself.
A bar inBrooklyn, not a usual place for a wedding but it really turned out to be a fun evening. The small courtyard at
the back of the bar was perfect for wooden picnic tables with striped linen runners and a collection of our vintage bottles and mason Jars, filled with summer flowers and some of our unique hand made paper flowers.
The bar arrangement had a little birds nest nestled at the base which looked so cute.
As summer almost rushes by, I wanted to take a look back at some of our lovely weddings we have worked on over the last couple of months.
Catherine and Sean had a beautiful day at Bedell Cellars. One of the prettiest vineyards on the Island and we had a fun day setting up with the staff (many thanks to Amy ). We even had a chance to sample some of the delicious wines. Can’t wait to go back !
Catherine chose a rich, bold color palate, in magenta, hot pinks and we used some gorgeous Big Ben peonies. These were mixed with lightly fragrant lilacs, textural foliages and Yves Piaget garden roses. The runners along the tables added a splash of bright blue pattern and the navy napkins and seat cushions just completed the look.
Here are a few photos taken by Leah just before the guests started to arrive. Keep a look out on our website as we will be adding shortly to our event collection.
The Ceremony took place under a huge tree which was perfect for a flower garland that we swaged through the branches. The bay leaf garland included white duchess peonies, white lilac and clematis blooms. It was great to be able to use the tree as part of the ceremony, it looked perfect.

Congratulations Catherine and Sean
How excited were we when Coach wanted us to create paper flowers for their brand new Poppy Flower Fragrance!
Our paper flowers have been mixed with fresh to design a fun hat for the model …
Look out for the Advert in all the magazines out now – we spotted this in Elle August issue
This month sees our beautiful paper flowers being featured in the August 2011 issue of Food and Wine. This just gives a peek at 3 of our designs, Peony , Garden Rose and Dahlia. Take a look at out website shop for our full collection, which keeps on “growing” !
The original Green Vase is one of the most charming, interesting and delightful places I have ever visited. Owned by Connie Cetti ( who also happens to be Livia’s mom) it is located in Arroyo Grande California.
It is a antique store filled with vintage glass, beautiful silver trays and bowls, intricate jewelry and all kinds of finds.
The gardens are full of lush flowers, orange trees and my favorite was the amazing wall of passion vines
Each twist and turn in the garden produces another surprise, I love the little secret garden behind the anitque shed, and just wanted to sit down under the orange tree, beside the bicycle.
I will be back Connie, for tea and scones with jam and cream!!
Last weekend The Green Vase scooted off to the West Coast. Although we were there for work ( a beautiful wedding which will be posted on the website soon ) we did get a chance to enjoy the quick trip.
We stayed at Livia’s home which is way up in the mountains… It takes about 30 mins to drive the long windy road from bottom to top!! Wow we were not expecting the fabulous view, the incredible cactus gardens and the wonderful house that greeted us.
across the mountain

Woolly Lamas in the field below the orange grove
Secret pathways amongst the cactus gardens, colorful nasturtiums growing up the trees
and a little niche with a quirky face to keep an eye on the visitors!
The Fleshy Cacti in dusty grey had black tips were the size of armchairs!!! Just not to be sat on!
Thank you Connie and Livia for sharing your little piece of paradise and we hope to be back soon!
